Pathways is a not for profit organisation specialising in mental health and well being services. They were moving from an old pub to a more suitable office space in South Geelong. The new building is a combination of an open plan working area, formal and informal meeting rooms, client interview rooms and offices. Pathways had growth plans and wanted a building to accommodate over 100 employees and clients.
The key space in this project was the open plan working area designed for over 50 employees in a hot desking situation. This space needed to be spacious without comprising on warmth. Having decided on a warm industrial style goal we specified a wood effect laminate floor to control the sound levels.
Custom made industrial style desks and partitions were installed and we introduced a warm pink feature wall, reflective of Pathway’s brand identity.
Other key areas included the interview rooms for clients where the warm industrial style was carried through and the board room is smart and professional without being stuffy.
Overall the office feels warm, friendly and professional with an enduring style. Spaces are suitable for their different functions which in turn impacts productivity and morale.
“Trish assisted us in the interior design of our new office space in South Geelong. Throughout the project Trish was a delight to work with. Her design sense is impeccable. The warehouse space we have relocated to had the potential to be cold and uninviting.
Using simple yet effective design choices she has helped us transform the space into a funky, warm and practical work environment and at the same time keeping to our brand colours and aesthetic. She remained regularly in touch throughout the fit out and relocation, providing helpful advice and assisting with purchasing, suppliers and logistical issues.
Our time frames were very tight and she was always prompt and helpful in communications. Furthermore Trish understood that as a not for profit organisation, we were on a tight budget. She was flexible in her choices in regards to furniture and suppliers, allowing us to come under budget in our overall interior design spend.
It has been a pleasure working with Trish on this project and to have achieved such an outstanding result.”
